WARSAW, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Polish coach Maciej Skorza will leave Japan's J-League side Urawa Red Diamonds after the season due to personal reasons, the Japanese club informed via their official website on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old Pole led the team to triumph in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League in 2022. In the current J-League season, the club is in the third with 54 points after 32 games.
"I have decided to leave the club after the competition. It was a very difficult decision to take that step as it will be tough to leave such a wonderful place. However, I feel the family should be my priority right now," Skorza was quoted as saying by the official site of the club.
"I have spent a lot of time talking with the club about my choice. They supported me, and they have respect for my decision. Here I met wonderful people, and I'm grateful to them. I'm sure the club has a bright future," the Pole added.
