Tomio Koyama Gallery takes top artists to the shopping mall

From an industrial warehouse in Tokyo to a former dye factory in Kyoto, the exhibition spaces currently operated by the respected gallerist Tomio Koyama are often as arresting as the artworks on display. So it is perhaps initially surprising to learn that his latest outpost — 8/ ART GALLERY/Tomio Koyama Gallery — is on the eighth floor of the Hikarie building, which at first sight appears more commercial than cultural.
