India in semis of junior men's Asia Cup hockey

India beat China 2-1 to book their place in the semifinals of the 7th Junior Men's Asia Cup Hockey Tournament at MBM Hockey Stadium here Monday.

The goal scorers for India were Naveen Antil (19th minute) and Amit Rohidas (Penalty Corner 57th minute) while Yu Xin scored for China.

India led 1-0 at half time with a brilliant field goal scored by Antil in the 19th minute. India tried to keep China under control in the first half and were leading 1-0 till half time.

Meanwhile China equalised the score 1-1 in the 47th minute with the goal scored by Yu Xin.

India then made a strong comeback when vice-captain Amit Rohidas scored the match winner in the 57th minute penalty corner. Indian goalkeeper Sushant Tirkey made several crucial saves in the second half which added pressure on the opponent side.
